Coca-cola which is commonly referred to as coke is a carbonated soft drink manufactured by coca cola Company which is based in America. It was invented in 1886 by john pemberton as a medicinal beverage and Frank Robinson named it coca-cola because of its two main ingredients that is, coca leaves and kola nuts. The original formula that was first used to produce coke remains a trade secret and no one over the years has been able to unravel it. Coke is one of the world’s most loved soft drinks. It has a distinctively unique taste and a refreshing feeling in all seasons, whether hot, warm or cold.
Coca-cola has evolved through the years in both the bottle shape and design to the great exhilarating taste it has currently. The brands marketing strategy has impacted its growth with a large percentage being advertisements through direct, social media marketing and sales promotions. Coca-Cola’s first advertisement read `Coca-cola. Delicious! Refreshing! Exhilarating! Invigorating! with the current one reading as `taste the feeling`.
The coca-cola company produces the concentrated syrup which is then sold to various bottlers throughout the world who then produce the finished product and package it in bottles and cans for consumption.
Even though is the leading brand of the coca-cola company with worldwide recognition, it has faced criticism as well including being health insensitive because of the cocaine and amounts of sugar in it and other environmental issues. Nonetheless it remains a super brand loved worldwide!
