Netflix’s first original movie with Karan Johar led Dharma Productions “Drive” is coming soon to rock the theaters and streaming channels. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, this new action-thriller movie is highly inspired by the best Hollywood film “Fast and Furious”. It is also an adaptation of the crime noir novel of the same name, written by James Sallis and 2011 movie of the same name.

Initially, the movie was not planned to release on streaming channels. It is decided to be premiered in theaters in March 2018 but it is pushed to September 2018 and then June 2019. But the movie never released in theatres. Finally, a few months before, Netflix and Karan Johar signed a deal and announce its releasing date.

The drive is the seventh Indian movie releasing on Netflix in 2019, after Soni in January, Firebrand on February, 15 August in March, Music Teacher in April, Chopsticks in May and upcoming movie Upstarts in October.

It is a unique and incredibly fun film that elevates the genre of action heist films. Its nail-biting action scenes and chase sequence surely win the heart of action-loving fans around the world.

Netflix and Karan Johar’s new film cast includes Sushant Singh Rajput (Chhichhore, Kedarnath) and Jacqueline Fernandez (Kick, Murder 2, Judwaa 2) in the lead.

It also includes other Bollywood stars such as Boman Irani (PK, 3 Idiots, Munna Bahi M.B.B.S), Pankaj Tripathi (Mirzapur, Super 30, Masaan), Vibha Chhibber (Ghajini, Chak De! India), Sapna Pabbi (Ardass Karaan, Khamoshiyan), and Vikramjeet Virk (Heart attack, 2018’s Amar Akbar Anthony).
