Disney is back with another sequel to Toy Story. The movie is about Buzz Lightyear, Woody’s pal. And everyone’s favourite Captain America (Chris Evans) will be Buzz’s voice!
Ever since we watched Toy Story as kids, I am sure no one was able to look at their toys the same way. I remember checking up on my toys every time I left them alone, just to see if they are on a secret mission. I so hoped that it’d be true!
What is Lightyear about?
Buzz Lightyear is a fictional character in the Toy Story franchise. Created by Disney and Pixar he became quite famous among kids and maybe adults too. He is a toy Space Ranger superhero according to the movies and an action figure in the franchise. The franchise consists mainly of five CGI-animated films: Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2 (1999), Toy Story 3 (2010), Toy Story 4 (2019)
Initially, Buzz was voiced by Tim Allen. Although in the new sequel, Buzz will be voiced by MCU star Chris Evans. Disney released a teaser trailer for Lightyear on the 21st of April on youtube. According to the trailer, Buzz does his first test flight for star command, sadly it doesn’t go as expected. He ends up time travelling 62 years in the future and now must find a way back home.
In the future, he meets his best friend’s granddaughter Izzy Hawthorne (Keke Palmer). We see how close Alisha (Izzy’s grandmother, Buzz’s friend) (voiced byUzo Aduba) and Buzz were. The movie is filled with humour and lots of adventure.
