Who are the characters in the first episode of Lovecraft Country?
Tic as Jonathan Majors is the protagonist of the show, who returns from Chicago in search of his father. Tic’s primary love interest on the show is Latti as Jurnee Smollett who joins him in his journey.
Viewers are first introduced to Leti when she joins her sister Ruby plays as Wunmi Mosaku onstage while she’s performing at a block party in Chicago. She is the photographer and childhood friend of Tic.
Tic Uncle’s George also joins them in search of his missing father played by Courtney B. Vance to know about the history of his family. He is the travel guide for black Americans and frequently goes out to explore new places.
Jada Harris plays Dee and Aunjanue Ellis is Hippolyta will also see in the first episode. Both are the immediate family of George.
Hippolyta helps George with his travel guide, and she even offers to join him on a trip in the first episode. She is an avid astronomer and Tic’s younger cousin Dee is passionate as she prefers to create superheroes and draw comics of star grazing.
Leti’s sister Ruby played as Wunmi Mosaku is a talented musician and she makes her first appearance on the block party of Chicago.
The mysterious blonde woman saves Tic, Leti, and Uncle George from the raciest only makes a brief appearance in the first episode, which’s later revealed to be Christina Braithwhite — becomes an important character in the series.
Another mysterious blonde man greets the traveler Jordan Patrick Smith plays William will also be seen and some new faces will also be seen in further episodes.
