About Sonu Sood

Sonu Sood was born July 30, 1973. He is an Indian actor, producer, model, and social activist who primarily works in the Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil film industries. In 1996, Sood married Sonali, a Telugu lady. They have two sons together.

Thousands of migrant and daily wage jobs have benefited from the actor’s spontaneous kindness and generosity since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. But, he has done it all from feeding the poor to arranging transportation for stranded workers to return to their hometowns, to donating personal protective equipment (PPE) to frontline healthcare workers.

Providing facilities for medical professionals

Many medical staff members, including physicians, had to cope with the possibility of contracting COVID-19, work long hours, and deal with workplace anxiety and social stigma when the government declared the nationwide lockdown in March of this year. Sonu Sood opened the doors of his Juhu hotel in Mumbai to assist them and have a place to stay.

Returning migrants workers to their homes

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the lockdown forced thousands of refugees to return to their homes.
