1. A DOG’S WAY HOME

A dog’s way home is an American family adventure film directed by Charles Smith. The movie shows a puppy named Bella who loses her way and ends up on a 400-mile long journey before she unites with her owner Lucas. All along the way, she makes many more friends. The movie makes us cry and smile at the same time. The feeling of being overwhelmed when she is wandering maybe sometimes very close to her home but not able to find it. It is full of mixed emotions. Even the adults should watch it.

2. THE ADAM PROJECT

Adam project is a sci-fi adventure film released in 2022. The movie is about an adult Adam who goes back in time and unites with his 13-year old self. Together they need to save the world and return to their respective timeline. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo. If you have always wondered if time travel is true and how it works, this is the movie for you. Although for non-science people too, it is a good choice as Ryan Reynolds just makes any movie watchable!

3. ENOLA HOLMES

Most of us have watched or read Sherlock Holmes and thought of being a detective at least once. But as time flows Netflix has come up with Enola Holmes, sherlock’s sister. Enola sets out to find her missing mother using her own detective skills. She outsmarts her genius brother Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes. This is a must-watch because of the unique storyline and great casting. “Stranger Thing’s” lead Millie Bobby Brown plays Enola holmes, while “Superman” Henry Cavill plays Sherlock Holmes. Also to mention it is a PG-13 rated movie, so whether to show it to your children is entirely up to you.

4. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 1&2

DreamWorks released one of their best-animated films ever with the adaptation of the book of the same name ie. How To Train Your Dragon. The movie is about a boy named Hiccup and his dragon Toothless. Hiccup goes on various adventures with his dragon and gets a chance to change the course of his clan. It is a very beautiful and thrilling movie. Netflix has both the parts!

5. THE KARATE KID

If you ask which is an 80’s movie still trending…it has to be The Karate Kid. The movie is about a New Jersey teen (played by Ralph Macchio) who moves to California. After he is met with the bullies and had a hard time, he learns karate from a handyman, Mr Miyagi (Noriyuki “Pat” Morita). It is the best movie for boosting confidence and well for a few karate lessons.

6. PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR

After stealing the thunder of 3 Madagascar movies, the wise penguins got their own movie. Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private go on an adventure and team up with a spy (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch) to stop the villain Dave (voiced by John Malkovich). The movie is fun to watch and enough to keep people of all age groups entertained.

7. PADDINGTON

This movie is about a cute, young Peruvian bear who in search of a home comes to London. After he is lost and alone at Paddington station he is lucky enough to find a kind Brown family. It is actually based on the stories of the character Paddington created by Michael Bond. You have to watch it to love it!

8. SHREK1&2

Hear me out, don’t trust anyone who doesn’t like Shrek. The movie is just perfect. There’s humour, it’s sad, it makes you laugh… it’s a whole package. Although Shrek 2 was a huge success than the first part, but who directly watches a sequel without watching the first part, am I right? In order to save his home, a monster (Mike Myers) with a donkey (Eddie Murphy) makes a deal with a mean lord to rescue a beautiful princess (Cameron Diaz).

9. TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

Teenage mutant is an adaptation to the comic by the same name. Released in 1990 the movie became a massive hit creating a whole franchise. The movie is about four terrapin warriors rise from the sewers and join forces with fearless reporter April O’Neil (voiced by Megan Fox) to save New York from Shredder and his evil minions. It is a PG-13 rated movie.

10. MONSTER HOUSE

If you want to let your kid know that horror movies exist but not scar them for life, this is the movie you are looking for. And also if you are a full-grown adult but not that grown-up to watch movies like Conjuring or Anabelle by yourself, maybe you can start with this. The movie is about three youths’ (Mitchel Musso, Spencer Locke and Sam Lerner) assertion that a neighbouring residence is a living creature that means them harm.
