What is the movie Beast about?
Beast is an Indian Tamil language comedy action film, starring Vijay and Pooja Hegde. Directed by Nelson and produced by Sun pictures the movie involves an ex-RAW agent who helps to rescue people held hostage in a shopping mall.
Veera Raghavan (Vijay) is an Indian RAW agent who is assigned to capture the terrorist Umar Farooq in Kashmir. Although he is successful in his mission, a missile shot by him to prevent Farooq’s escape accidentally hits a child when he knew. Since then, Veera is quite unstable because of the trauma and quits RAW. However, things take a turn when he meets Preethi (Pooja Hegde) at a wedding. She forces him to join her security agency, Dominic and Soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Tamilnadu government receives information about terrorist activities in Chennai in a mall where Veera, Preethi and her boss Dominic Irudhayaraj are present. Rest of the movie we see Veera in action, hesitant at the start but in full force later on.
What drives, what motivates Veera or the beast to get back on the field is the poor child’s face, and the guilt he has for the child’s death.
Will it release on the OTT platform?
Although ‘Beast’ hit the theatres on 13th April 2022, Netflix has announced the release of ‘Beast’ on Netflix on 11th May 2022. The said film will be available on Netflix in five languages- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Netflix took it to Twitter to announce the release.
