The most awaited DC universe movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson finally coming on December 21, 2021. Jaume Collet-Sera, director of the horror movie the Shallows, is directed, Black Adams. The others who join him in this team are Math Reeves, writer-director of the new Batman movie “The Batman” and James Gunn, director of Guardians of the Galaxy and 2021 movie “The Suicide Squad”.
Johnson in his Instagram account is discussing his role in this tentative DC Comics adaptation. Johnson explains how he was too “rebellious” to play a character like Superman and why Black Adam’s character is the best fit for him. He said when he was a kid, the first superhero he comes to know is Superman and he always wants to be like him. But after a few years, he realizes that he is not like Superman, he was too rebellious, too rambunctious and too resistant to convention and authority. He said “Now, years later as a man, with the same DNA I had as a kid – my superhero dreams have come true. I’m honored to join the iconic DC Universe and it’s a true pleasure to become Black Adam.”
“Black Adam is blessed by magic with the powers equal to Superman, but the difference is he doesn’t toe the mark or walk the line. He’s a rebellious, one of a kind superhero, who’ll always do what’s right for the people – but he does it his way. Truth and justice are the Black Adam way. He said, “This role is unlike any other I’ve ever played in my career and I’m grateful to the bone we’ll all go on this journey together.”

Johnson in this new movie depicts Black Adam as a superhero who always does the right things and believes in truth and justice. But in comic the role of Adam is not like a hero, people know him as super-villain who is opposite to the DC version of Captain Marvel. The character was also supposed to be introduced in last year’s movie “Shazam!”Because he was evil like that, but changed.
Why do Warner Bros want to make this movie?
After the success of the villain movie “The Joker”, the interest of Warner Bros towards villain movie increases. So, decided to make this new superhero movie.
When the movie will be releasing in theatres?
Black Adam will be premiere in the United States on December 22, 2021, and in India, it will be releasing December 24, 2021. The production of the movie expected to start in July 2020.
