Shershaah is a real-life story of Lieutenant Vikram Batra and his courage on the battlefield. The movie narrates his life story and his wish to join forces. Moreover, he was first selected for Merchant Navy and wanted to join Indian Navy but he later realized that he must join the Indian Army. He makes a promise to his friend while leaving for the war that he will either return by hoisting the flag or wrapped in it, but he will surely return!
His decision was worthful as he was assigned to the Kargil Wars where he played a huge contribution. The movie expresses all the war situations as real-life experiences. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra as Lieutenant Vikram Batra, Kiara Advani as Dimple and Shiv Panditt as Sanjeev Jamwal.

SARDAR UDHAM
Sardar Udham is based on Udham Singh a freedom fighter from Punjab. The history of the movie is the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar. Sardar Udham Singh assassinated Indian Civil Service officer Michael O’Dwyer. Moreover, the movie goes back and forth from present to past. It is a must-watch on this Independence Day.
It describes how Singh killed officer O’Dwyer. However, the main reason to do so was that O’Dwyer gave the order to kill thousands of peaceful protestors in the Jallianwala Bagh. Later Udham Singh was executed. Although, due to the request of the Punjab Chief Minister, his ashes were brought back after Independence. The film stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, Banita Sandhu as Reshma and Amol Parashar as Bhagat Singh.

Major is 2022’s one of the highly recommended patriotic movies you can watch online. Based on real events of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Sandeep who was still a training officer of the 51 Special Action Group of NSG at the time willfully went to Taj Hotel and saved the lives of many.
The surprise, heinous and horrible attacks shook Mumbai to its core. Sandeep’s parents who were in the process that their son is a training officer and would not be present at the site were shaken by his news.

Aamir Khan’s Dangal was a super hit at the box office. The real-life story of wrestling champions, Geeta and Babita Phogat is expressed in the movie. The reason to watch this movie on Independence Day is because of Phogat’s love for his country.
The story is that father and wrestler, Mahavir Phogat wanted a boy so that he can teach him wrestling. But he had girls one after another and he couldn’t fulfil his wish. But he later realized that even his girls can become the next world champion and he starts their training.

CHAK DE INDIA
Chak De India is quite famous for its “ye sattar minute tumse koi nahi chhin sakta” dialogue. But the feeling behind that is patriotism. The story is about the Indian male Hockey team’s best player Kabir Khan, who is trolled by many after he loses a match.
His loyalty and integrity towards the nation is questioned by many. But he decides to show all that he is true to his country and decides to build a women’s hockey team and hopefully take it to the finals. Moreover, the cast includes Shah Rukh Khan, Vidya Malvade, Sagarika Ghatge and Shilpa Shukla.
