Leave the World Behind- Storyline
Based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Rumaan Alam, the story of the movie starts with a couple Amanda Sanford and her husband Clay who decide to go on a vacation to a rented house in Long Island, with their two teen children Rose and Archie.
When they reach the place they come to know that their cellphones are working because of zero connectivity. Amanda who is watching Friends’ last episode finds that the Wi-Fi connection is not operable.
Late night, when all are resting suddenly someone is known at the door. Amanda opens the gate, G.H. Scott and her daughter Ruth standing outside claiming that the house they are renting is theirs, and also gives the news of a blackout in Long Island.
Clay decides to go out of the place but he is unable to find the way due to GPS issues. Everything weird and out of the box happening to the place.
Rose sees a group of deer on their property and Archie is bitten by a bug. Moreover, a shrill noise suddenly covers the whole area.
Armanda tries to get out of the place but the highway is jammed due to some crash of self-driven cars into one other.
Everything is very suspicious and unpredicted. Later they come to know that a war is going on between the US and Rogue armed forces and some nuclear weapons are also involved in them.
