McMillions: Storyline
The miniseries of 2020 shows McDonald’s most successful promotion, which encourages customers nationwide to purchase fast food to score Monopoly-themed game pieces. Prizes for accumulating these pieces ranged from free fries to a large amount of $1 Million. For twelve years, the game was completely set up by a slowly expanding group of criminals who calculated how to crack the system. FBI agents investigated the case and identify the suspects that cause the problems.
McMillion’s is a great story related to the fraud scheme. It shows ex-cop Jerry Jacobson and several accomplices, who commit to solving the case.
Directed by James Lee, Hernandez and Brian Lazarte the six-episodes of the documentary “McMillions” starts with McDonald’s Monopoly game scam during the 1990s and show over those five years, an ex-cop turned security officer duped his bosses at the firm as well as everyone at the McDonalds’ corporation and walked away with $24 million in stolen winnings.
