Hulu comes up with a new satirical comedy-drama, during the lockdown. Its new series “The Great” is different from usual period drama and presents the rise of the longest-reigning Russian female ruler, Catherine the Great.

The Great: Storyline
Hulu’s original web series, in short, is a story of a beautiful, fun-loving, idealistic young woman Catherine the Great, who after an arranged marriage with Emperor Peter III, shifted to Russian. Like other girls, she also hopes for a good married life and a good husband. But things go wrong in her case, Peter III; her husband is temperamental, unstable, moody type of person or emperor and the environment or world is, she gets is backward, dangerous, and corrupted.
She understands that she is unable to live in this world and want to change it. But for her, she has dethroned her husband, and that only possible by killing him. So, the episodes of the series show how he kills her husband, beat the military and church, and becomes the ruler of Russian, which bring good changes there.
