What is ‘The Boys’ about?
A little overview of the topic, The Boys is an American superhero sci-fi TV series. The series was originally made for the streaming service Amazon Prime Video. Moreover, it is originally based on a comic book of the same name. The first season came out in 2019 and the latest season is season 3 which came out on 3rd June 2022.
The Boys season 3 received a lot of praise due to its natural work, humour, screenplay and entertainment. Those who have followed the series for the three seasons will also agree that the series shows considerable character development. For some, it might be just a superhero series but closely it is more than that.
The series is released in parts with the first three episodes released on 3rd June. Looking at the positive response from the first few episodes the producers decided to renew the series for a fourth season!
On to the main plot; there are seven individuals with super powers who help ‘save the city’ and are adored by the people. These are the Supes or Vought’s superhero team. Although these superheroes are mean, selfish and are involved in illegal businesses outside their uniforms. The reality of this team is known to some who call themselves The Boys. The Boys on the other hand are trying to bring down the fake heroes.
The cast includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty and Dominic McElligott.
