Daybreak: Netflix’s newest and best original series is now streaming. The adventure comedy teen drama is about a 17-year teenage boy of high school named Josh Wheeler (Colin Ford), who is finding his missing British girlfriend named Sam Dean (Sophie Simnett) in post-apocalyptic Glendale, California. Created and directed by Brad Peyton and Aron Eli Coleite, behind the film such as Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Rampage and series Ultimate X-men- Daybreak is based on the eponymous comic series written by Brian Ralph. The series shows the mad max-style gangs and zombie-like creatures known as Ghoulies.

With Colin Ford and Sophie Simnett, Daybreak also stars Alyvia Alyn Lind as Angelica Green (The Young and the Restless), Josh partner and a young genius with mild Pyromia, Austin Crute (Booksmart and Atlanta as Wesley Fists, Josh’s former high school bully and a pacifist samurai, Krysta Rodriguez (Smash and Trial & Error) as Ms. Crumble, Glendale high school biology teacher and the witch, Cody Kearsley (Riverdale) as Turbo Pokaski , unhinged leader of the Jocks during the Apocalypse, Matthew Broderick as Michael Burr, Glendale high school principal who are in favor of students, Gregory Kasyan (Quest) as Eli Cardashyan, a self-serving survivor that occupy the Glendale Mall and Jeanty Godlock as Mona Lisa, a Jock and Turbo’s second in command.

Assisting Brad Peyton and Aron Eli Coleite, the series is produced by Michael J. Malone and Bruce Dunn. Rachel Goodlett Katz, Tirsa Hackshaw and Amber Bansak help in editing. Duane Manwiller and Jaron Presant, are the cinematographer Andrew Lockington is the song composer. Daybreak is the production of ASAP entertainment founded and owned by Brad Peyton and Jeff Fierson for Netflix.

Daybreak follows the story of a young boy, 17-year-old Josh Wheller who is finding his missing girlfriend Sam Dean in post-apocalyptic Glendale, California. The all-new teen series is not restricted to high school but it shows Glendale, the city populated by offensive goons of gamers, jocks, the 4-H Club, and fearsome people called Ghoulies.
