HBO dropped the new series The Cost of Winning, an upcoming four-part docu-series all about the St. Frances Academy Panthers football program. 

From Emmy Award-winning executive producer Michael Strahan comes with an inspiring story that highlights the happiness of victory and witnesses the challenges faced on the grounds of racial discrimination. 

The Cost Of Winning directed by Rob Ford and Maurice released the first two episodes on HBO on November 10, 2020.

In an interview with executive producer Strahan and Schwartz-Morini shows their excitement by saying- “We are excited to bring the inspiring story of Baltimore’s St. Frances Academy to life on HBO, and to showcase the adversity and challenges the Panthers endured to save their program.” 

The series also reveals how the power of sports unites people with harmony and integrity.

What is the plot of the series? 

The series follows the high school football team so good that no one wanted to play against them. The team belongs to the Black Catholic high school in one of Baltimore’s poorest neighborhoods. They were in headlines after expelled from the private school league in 2018. For being too good and forced to create an independent schedule.

The story depicts the actual visualization of what it’s like to grow up. As a young Black male in America today raised a question on a racial basis. Many controversies made against them and it difficult for them to live outside of school. 

There faced many challenges like running out of resources and not having proper practice facilities and stadiums in Baltimore neighborhood. Getting dropped from the league and overcome the challenges, their generous coach Biff Poggi never leaves their side. 

Expelled from the league, they didn’t give up and started searching for the competitors across the country. Made their schedule, and find the opportunity to face off against the lead team to get athletic scholarships for living. 

The Cost of Winning is the engrossing and sincere docu-series captures behind the scenes of Panther’s everyday lives, training session, and high lows of life. 

What is the cast of the cost of winning series?

The Cost of Winning is a Sports documentary, consists of Biff Poggi, Demon Clowney, Chris Braswell as the main character. Along with Jonathan Wallace, Ethan Lewis, Mike Ferry is part of the documentary.

Where to watch the series? 

The first two episodes will debut on HBO on Nov. 10 at 9 p.m. EST and comes with three parts three and four airing the next night at the same time. The episodes will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
