The Paranormal is the six episodes series of dark mystery and horror adventure of the supernatural anthology. The bestselling novel by author Late author Ahmed Khaled Tawfik’s comes to life in this adaptation by writer-director Amr Salama. The series stars Ahmed Amin, Reem Abd El Kader, Samma Ibrahim.

Paranormal has made it to the number 1 slot for Netflix series in Saudi Arabia. If you like series The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor, you will go for it.

What is the plot of the series?

The series set in 1960s Egypt, the story revolves around the cynical hematology professor Dr. Refaat Ismail with a dark sense of humor who experiences some paranormal activities that would challenge and question his lifelong scientific conventions.

He confronted some enigmatic events when a ghost from his past comes into existence to haunt him. The professor forced into a series of inexplicable events, he unwilling becomes the go-to-guy for paranormal activities.

 To save their loved ones from upcoming dangers that threaten their life. He enters into the dark world of paranormal with his university colleague Maggie.

The season is six-episode series. Each episode focusing on different paranormal phenomena with gripping storyline and truly brilliant cast that makes series addictive, thrilling, and frightening.

What is the cast of the Paranormal series?

The creator ensemble the brilliant cast to put forward the greatest piece of work from the beloved author. All the cast are pretty excellent in various ways and made the show a huge success.

The central character of the cast Ahmed Amin as Dr. Refaat Ismail, the cynical hematology professor who experiences some uncanny things around him. He set out on journey to investigate paranormal activities that question against their science convention and save family from danger. He has a dark sense of humor, sarcastic in every way, and, ultimately, is a very lonely person.

It is a surprise for the audience who was known for his role as a comedy play the iconic role as a serious man in a thriller movie. But he nailed his character in every way and portrays the character perfectly on the screen.

“Ahmed is a very deep person,” says director Salama in one of the interviews. “He is a smart, considered and skeptical person, but most people only know him for his comedy sketches online, because he is hilarious.”

Along with his university colleagues Maggie McKillop as Razana Jammal. Both enter the paranormal world and try to save their loved ones. Maggie also tormented like his partner when the past comes and haunts her. She also looks that she has a romantic interest in our protagonist Refaat.

She is an excellent British- Lebanese actor, known for her roles in Olivier Assayas’ Carlos, Kanye West’s Cruel Summer.

Other cast members include Ahmed Dash as Reda Ismail, Samma Ibrahim as Ra’iefa Ismail, and Aya Samaha as Huwaida Abdel Moniem as a supporting role.
